What a wonderful place to stay and to forget the rest of the world: peaceful, friendly and relaxing. When we arrived we felt that we had arrived at the wrong place, such was the high standard of the spacious villa along with its spectular views across the wonderful, rugged and mountainous landscape. If there was one thing I would say and that is to make sure people know about the wonderful and undeveloped coastline and beaches in and around Marina di Cardedu!

We thought the villa was wonderful and miss waking up to the panoramic views and the bird song. Despite our delayed start you both made us most welcome and your wine and pizzas were much appreciated. We thought Sardinia was captivating and continually tell people of the way everyone was so friendly and helpful despite the language difference.

The house was perfect and everything that we had hoped for for a relaxing week in the stunning surroundings. The little things, like being able to borrow beach umbrellas and boules, a cupboard stocked full of basics such as salt, pepper, olive oil etc, a full book shelf and having the delicious local food when we arrived, really made a difference. We had some lovely drives in the mountains, the scenery was stunning and it felt as though at almost every turn there was a complete new landscape. The beaches along the Golfo di Orosei were picture perfect.

Immaculate, modern, spacious villa in a quiet and peaceful location on a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. We had a wonderful holiday at Gumtrees. The villa was extremely well-equipped, with even beach umbrellas and snorkelling equipment in the garage that we were able to borrow. There was a spacious verandah for eating and relaxing outside whilst enjoying the views of the mountains and at night superb views of the stars. There were numerous beaches within an easy drive. All were easily accessible, you can park alongside the beach and so there's no need to walk far in the heat to claim your space beside the sea. My children swam in the sea every day, we couldn't keep them away from it

The first thing to say is that the owners Carlo and Rita were brilliant. From booking to leaving and everything in between you couldnt wish to meet more helpful people. On arrival we were met with local foods and wines and soft drinks for the children. As we looked around the property we couldnt believe the standard of everything within and the amount of space all the rooms had, which with the balcony, the location and the friendliness shown by the local people made for a great stay.
The location is not isolated but is rural and peaceful. Beaches are within easy driving distance as are a few other sites. Don't go if you want a bustling seaside resort. Definitely go if you want the most pefrect of properties, peace and quiet through day and night with brilliant views of the mountains around the area in an idyllic setting. The villa doesn't have a pool but with crystal clear waters a 10 minute drive away it didnt matter.
We used a couple of local restaurants and can recommend the list given by Carlo and Rita. Everything is as detailed in their website (re distances etc) and the area has some stunning scenery. We have recommended the area, but more importantly the villa, to many people since our return and are looking to return there hopefully next year.

This stunning location is far more than you expect! The stunning view, the spacious rooms and terrace, the hospitality. Everything is taking care off: beach towels, music (CD's and LP's), fresh oranges, dvd, great beds, cots, toys for children, bikes, books, information on the area and so on..). This place could not have been better!
Loads to do in this still 'undiscovered' area of Sardinia; several beautiful beaches with crystal clear water, mountain villages, boat trips or boat rental to Golfo di Orosei (highly recommended), hikes in the altiplano di Golgo. We have had a great week, with perfect weather! We loved it, also due to the warm welcome of the owners!

This was a fantastic spacious and stunningly designed villa set in beautiful countryside whilst very close to several great beaches. It has everthing you might need (and a lot more). The welcome we got from the hosts, Rita and Carlo, made it extra special. From the food parcel of local delicacies and wine to welcome us to the regular delivery of freshly picked fresh fruit from the orchard in the grounds of the villa (oranges, apricots, figs, lemons etc..), their generous spirit was refreshing and rare.
It is not near the bustling tourist resorts, which in my view makes it even better. It was the perfect idyllic Italian holiday.

We cannot speak highly enough of the accomodation. We thought the web site pictures were impressive but the apartment is simply divine. Lots of open space, which for us with 2 small children was fantastic. Books, games, toys, DVD's and Playstation also helped!! The whole Villa is imposingly fantastic. Its setting, views and serenity offer a true "escape." The facilities were excellent and we wanted for nothing. The brand new appliances, fixtures and fittings were ultra clean. Our warm welcome was so lovely after our journey, giving us a chance to get to know Rita and Carlo. Their friendliness, hospitality and knowledge of the local area informed the rest of our stay and they were always happy to help. We can't thank them enough. We would highly recommend the villa due to all of the above, the local beaches (20 minute drive away and beautiful crystal shallow waters. Our children swam alone in the calm, shallow sea with armbands which was lovely to see), festivals, walking/climbing opportunities and local eateries etc (all reasonably priced). It offered us as a family a true break away from it all in a quiet, elegant setting to fully relax and take in the breathtaking views and enjoy the laid back lifestyle. The Villa is an excellently run family business with a warm and homely touch. Thank you so much. We will be back!!!
